Join us for a heartwarming celebration of Mother's Day with our upcoming Handicrafts Workshop!  We are excited to prepare an unforgettable Artistic Tote Bag / Cushion Cover Indigo Shibori Dye Workshop in 11 & 12 May 2024.

With a rustic charm, vibrant color, and exclusive pattern, you will get a very natural indigo dyed daily tote bag / cushion cover after this natural dye workshop. The white cotton fabric of the bag is our special collection with beautiful unique texture and skin friendly soft material which is perfect for natural hand-dyeing. Let's make a unique gift for you or your family - a hand-dyed indigo tote bag (37cm*38cm) and two artistic shibori square scarves!

What You'll Learn:
During the 3-3.5 hours of fun, you will be shared with
(1). An introduction of Bai Minority traditional indigo dye techniques.
(2). How to make plants dye solution & an overview of how beautifully indigo is prepared from plant to pigment.
(3). The basics of indigo tie dye techniques, like folding, clamping, and tying with common objects to create patterns that are both visually interesting and professional. We offer two pieces of cotton scarves for you to practice and explore your own unique shibori motifs.
(4). The white cotton tote bag ( or 45cm*45cm cushion cover) for you to dye your exclusive shibori pattern.

Fee Includes
• All workshop materials will be provided, including aprons & gloves.
• Textiles & other materials of dyeing tote bag.
• 2 pieces of cotton square scarves.

Our Lecturer:


Millie, the founder of Blue Bee Tie Dye, is an experienced landscape architect, who graduated from Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) in 2016 and has been promoting the traditional Bai Minority indigo dye crafts in recent years. Inspired by her family's 20 years indigo dyeing business, Millie founded BlueBee last year in Singapore, focusing on the integration and innovation of BaiMinority's shibori techniques with popular symbols.

Disclaimer:
•Please come dressed in clothes you don’t mind getting some dye on. Aprons and gloves will be provided.
•Participants must follow our safety instructions to avoid any harm. We will not be liable for any damage caused during the workshop.
•Our indigo crafts workshop is kept small and cozy with a maximum of 6 participants per group to ensure everyone gets quality guidance from our instructor. In the unforeseen event of low sign-ups, we reserve the right to cancel the class.

Please note that workshop slot may be rescheduled should the minimum class size of 3 pax is not met. You will be notified of any changes at least 2 days before the workshop. For class cancellations, we will contact you at least 2 days before your workshop date and you will be fully refunded within 1-3 working days.

Cancellation & refund policy:
We do not allow cancellations or rescheduling once your slot has been booked on our website. Please make sure that you can absolutely make it for the workshop slot before you proceed to book. No refunds will be given if you do not attend the workshop. However, you may get a friend to take your place if you are unable to make it.
